Caron Foundation's Jasper Chen See, MD Healthcare Professional Award presented to Don Karabelnik, MD at Berks County 14th Annual Community Service Awards Breakfast 2010 Dr. Pamela Taffera, a family practice resident at St. Joseph Medical Center, spent eight days in the earthquake-ravaged country, tending to the battered children. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL - Margaret M. Wilkins, DO, FACOFP, has been named 2010 Osteopathic Family Medicine Educator of the Year by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). She was honored for her extraordinary impact on students, residents, peers, academic institutions and the osteopathic profession. The award was presented during ceremonies at the ACOFP 2010 Annual Convention in Las Vegas. The Berks Visiting Nurse Association held their Health Care Champion Breakfast on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at which time they honored Edward J. Zobian, M.D. with their Health Care Champion Award. Dr. Kristen Sandel, Class of 1994, was honored by Muhlenberg School District on her induction into Muhlenberg's Hall of Fame.
Louise Grim, MSED, PT was recently honored at our Installation Dinner on January 15, 2009 with the 2008 Community Service Award for her work as Founder and Co-chair of the Berks County Pandemic Advisory Council.
Harrisburg - Daniel B. Kimball, MD, FACP, a Senior Active Staff Physician in the Section of Internal Medicine at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, was presented the Pressman Award for Distinguished Service to Internal Medicine by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Lusch, MD, of Wyomissing, has been named Medical Director of The Reading Hospital Regional Cancer Center, effective April 1. Dr. Lusch, MD was also honored June 3, 2008 at the 2008 Health Care Champion Breakfast sponsored by Berks Visiting Nurse Association. Congratulations!
